Aftermath Of Heavy Rainstorm Havoc: Dormaa West  District Assembly  Announces Plan  -To Renovate Affected Nkwankwanta SHS And JHS 
The Dormaa West District Assembly in the Bono Region, has announced to institute proactive measures to renovate and re-roof the classrooms blocks of the Nkwankwanta    Senior High School (SHS) and Junior High School (JHS) which have been destroyed by the current heavy downpour.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Dormaa West District Assembly, Mr... Francis kwadwo Oppong gave the assurance when he visited Nkrankwanta Senior High School and the  Nkrankwanta D/A JHS on Tuesday 5, April 2022.

He recalled that on Sunday, March 3, 2022, Nkrankwanta township was hit with a heavy downpour which got some roofs at the Nkrankwanta Senior High School and the Nkrankwanta D-A JHS ripped off. 

According to him, on March 4, 2022, the Bono Regional Minister, Mrs. Justina Awo Banahene joined him ( DCE) to visit the schools and ascertained the gravity and the severity of the disaster to know how best they could help to bring teaching and learning in the schools to normal. 

He pointed out that on his visit on Tuesday, April 5, 2022, he met with the authorities of the aforementioned schools to see how the schools were faring and the way forward.  

He pointed out that he disclosed the Assembly's plan to renovate and re-roofing the affected blocks to the school's authorities. 
The DCE on his return made a stopover at the Nkrankwanta Small Scale palm oil Mill where he interacted with the workers.

 He assured them his outfit will do what they could to make the facility a modern one. 
The assemblyman for the electoral area, Hon. Issifu Bosoma thanked the DCE and his entourage for the visit. 
He however pleaded with the assembly to give them a borehole to provide them portable water for the processing of the palm oil.
The DCE was accompanied by the District Coordinating Director, Mr. Iddrisu Mahama, and other assembly staff.
